MESSaGE FROM SHELLEY

Spring has sprung and we are busy rebuilding houses. A lot of good things have happened since our last newsletter and we would like to share some of them with you. BWBB won the Urban Initiative Award from Zumtobel, the Austrian lighting company, and I will be traveling to Dornbirn in May to accept our award. Guinness realized that beer and building go together (only after the job is done of course!) — so we helped create a small batch to highlight our work, appropriately named ‘High Vis Cream Ale’. And lastly, BWBB was part of the Advancing Cities Initiative awarded by JP Morgan Chase. This award allows us to hire more staff who help build our houses, train our participants, and keep our organization running smoothly. It has been a long time coming and I am grateful for every person who supports us and sees the value in all the work we do. Our goal is to rebuild 10 houses in 2022. With your support, we will no doubt get there together!

Onward!
