Program Applicants must meet these requirements
- first time home buyer
- have 2 years of documented employment
- savings minimum of $2,500
- Baltimore City resident

FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS EDUCATION CLASS
The Homebuyers Education (HBE) Certificate is required. This workshops are an incredibly helpful resource in this process. After you attend the workshop, you will meet with a Counselor to create a personalized action plan to meet your homeownership goals. The certificate is also an eligibility requirement for the Baltimore Homeownership Incentive Program (B-hiP). B-hIP offers a variety of grants that assist homebuyers with their down payment and closing costs. To learn more about the incentives available and how it works, visit the Baltimore City Department of Housing & Community Development site.
NOTE : The HBE Certificate is valid for 1 year
