If you do not meet these requirements today, but have a genuine interest in working toward these requirements, we encourage you to apply. Once you have submitted your application and completed the 4 steps below, you will be eligible to interview for the next pending build session. We welcome all applicants with a demonstrated commitment to building community, knowledge, and wealth together.

HomeBuyers Education Workshop

Each applicant must attend a HomeBuyers Education Workshop (HBE). This is an 6 hour online class combined with a 30 minute one-on-one counseling session. The HBE is also an eligibility requirement for the Baltimore Homeownership Incentive Program, B-Hip, our Program manager will help you access these opportunities. You can view a list of organizations offering HBE classes in the Resources listed below. Many of these organizations also provide ongoing financial counseling for individuals who are not yet ready for the loan application process.

NOTE : The classes are an excellent primer on the home buying process. If you have not signed up to yet, do it now.

PRE-QUALIFYING FOR YOUR LOAN

Pulling together the sources of documentation required for your home loan application is the next step. These can include: income statements, pay stubs, bank account information, etc.

NOTE : A Pre-approval Letter from a (recommended) lender, and an Action Plan from a HBE Counselor is required for interview eligibility.

ONLINE APPLICATION
If you are ready to go, please fill out our Application. This information allows our team to have a comprehensive picture of your qualifications and readiness. Once the form is completed, you will schedule a follow-up meeting with our Program Manager. This meeting will cover details about the program, strategies for the application process, and Q/A.
If you are accepted into the program you must be vaccinated. A copy of your vaccination certificate will be requested prior to the interview.
