looking for an all around jill, jack, or non binary person of all trades to help us build. send an email to jobs@blackwomenbuild.org for full job description.
lots of activity during that beautiful weekend. we not only set cabinets and doors but an archaeologist and his students excavated parts of the backyard.
years ago many items were thrown into the back yard (not like today *cough cough*) and/or into the privy.
in order to better understand the people who lived in the houses, professor fracchia does “urban archaeology” by digging up the yard and cataloguing the findings. many items dated to mid to late 1800s. one intact tonic bottle was made march 10, 1868. pretty cool.

thanks to @doneconstruction @armanmizani @mccmollz @blisswoodworks @sarahelder for spending some of your sunday with us.

EDIT: they delivered the wrong doors. so maybe next weekend for a little help getting them hung?
so uhhh, the backlog showed up all at once. i suspect they had this stuff stashed and only wanted to make one trip so now we are inundated with doors & cabinets. if you can set doors or cabinets this weekend without much instruction other than “it goes here” hit me up. @armanmizani (you’ll finally get your nail guns back). any other takers? #blackwomenbuild
