Construction Manager Job

We are currently accepting resumes for the Black Women Build – Baltimore Materials/Construction Manager! This new position will manage all aspects related to materials acquisition, provide inventory maintenance, apply for permits, and help restore buildings.

Position Description

Serves as BWBB point of contact for all materials suppliers

Develops and maintains relationship with materials donors, vendors, and suppliers

Consults with Executive Director to assess and evaluate materials needs as relates to BWBB housing projects

Works with Executive Director and participants to restore houses

Moves project forward while Executive Director is unavailable

Interest in building and permitting practices

Starting Salary 36K/yr DOE plus benefits

Responsibilities

Provides primary and comprehensive organization of inventories of materials

Procures materials from various donors, vendors, and other suppliers

Manages materials inventories continually evaluating needs to ensure supply meets needs of BWBB housing projects

Works with participants and subcontractors when Executive Director is unavailable

Stocks and restocks materials

Requirements

Reside in the Baltimore area

Holds valid driver’s license

Desire to work with a mission-driven organization

Knowledge of building practices and materials

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Basic computer and communication skills

Highly self-motivated with ability to work independently

Able to supervise one to two people for short periods of time

Must have the ability to safely lift/push/pull up to 60lbs on a regular basis

Highly organized and tidy with a desire to achieve and maintain order

Maintain safe work site

Able to work up to 40 hours per week
