She Knew Where She Was Going: Gee's Bend Quilts and Civil Rights

BMA Community Quilt Giveaway.

In March 2021, the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) hosted a virtual event She Knew Where She Was Going: Gee’s Bend Quilts and Civil Rights. This program, produced in partnership with the African American Quilters of Baltimore, brought all ages and skill levels together to create a community quilt to benefit our program. The Community Quilt will be displayed at the BMA from June 2021 – August/September 2021. During this time visitors can donate to our organization as part of the entry process to win the Community Quilt!

General admission to the BMA is always free. Right now, to allow for adequate social distancing for our visitors and staff, reservations are required to visit the Baltimore Museum of Art.
